Two FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) cycle bridges at 4.8m long and 7.4m long x 2.85m wide were recently installed by CTS Bridges installation team using the clients own plant on a new Active Travel Scheme on the Elan Valley Cycle path in Powys, Wales.  FRP bridges are lightweight making installation easier in areas where access for large plant is difficult.  The cycle bridges have 1.4m high parpapets which were painted in Graphite Grey to blend into the locality.  The deck has pultruded FRP planks which were overlaid with CTS's Hi-Grip Plus non slip surfacing to provide a safe riding surface for cycle use.
